Just 123 days, with a budget of € 3 million to set up the 1 futuristic multi-functional centre for 1,000 guests, 1 arena seating 7,000 to host open-air shows and 1 service village, which from the Opening Ceremony on 19 January hosted over 4 million visitors during the course of the year.
All of this coordinating 1 temporary association of companies (RTI) comprising 3 market leaders in organising major events and installations, dozens of sub-contractors, more than 100 people involved ranging from workers to professionals, thousands of Authorities and guests that were invited and hosted during the Opening Ceremony.
The event was organised over three main areas: the Serra, a modular auditorium able to accommodate up to 1,000 people seated in stalls; the Arena, with a 24-metre long and 18-metre deep stage, able to accommodate 7,000 audience members standing and 3,500 seated; the Village, where all the services were located: bars, bistros, bike sharing, bookshop, temporary store, ticket office and infopoint.
For 123 days, the capital of Basilicata, known as the “City of Stone” hosted entertainment, artistic and cultural events, including 20 concerts, 15 seminars/conferences with local stakeholders, 3 theatre performances, 1 music festival and 2 ceremonies, to open and close the event.
