From June 27th to July 3rd , 2022, EGA fully managed the Global Youth Tourism Summit (GYTS), a new platform, developed by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which aims to empower young people to take an active part in decision-making processes in the tourism sector under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

GYTS brought together 400 children and youth, ages 12-18, with UN and government officials, tourism industry representatives, globally recognized celebrities, experts and other key stakeholders at the city of Sorrento.
During the event and in the weeks leading up to it, EGA organized and managed numerous activities spread across multiple venues including the Sorrento Palace, the MSC Yachting Club, the Grand Hotel Riviera and the MSC Patrizia Cruise. They were also attended by numerous ambassadors, including Drogba and Valeria Mazza, 12 ministers, the Secretary of UNWTO and Pope Francis, who intervened remotely to leave a welcome message.
A digital communication campaign involving young people, ambassadors, partners, sponsors and institutions was carried out in parallel with the events, reaching more than 240.000 impressions on social media and producing more than 2.148 films, 426 videos and 1.555 posts on social media platforms. The press office followed every aspect of the event, obtaining 844 press releases in national, international and local newspapers, radio and television stations, with a potential reach of 740 million people.
Other numbers: 400 flights, 2.400 room nights, 150 transfers and three gala dinners managed, more than 9.000 meals served, 40 youth mentors for youth participants, more than 60 hours of live streaming, simultaneous translation in 8 languages, 80 journalists, 20 workshops, 20 experiences, more than 5.000 gadgets produced and given away, and AR experiences.
