EXPO Dubai 2020 Italian Pavillon

The Italy Pavilion was one of the big stars of Expo Dubai 2020, held from October 1^st, 2021 to March 31^st, 2022, registering more than 1.6 million visitors in attendance and reaching 13 million online users worldwide. The exhibition itinerary included solutions and installations that demonstrated innovation and sustainability, making the Pavilion the first in history to obtain an ISO2012 certificate.

For the entire six-month period, hundreds of events and initiatives took place inside and outside the pavilion: more than 4.000 B2B meetings, 15 Innovation Talks with 100 speakers, 40 music and dance events, 22 forums, workshops, meet&greets with sports champions and Olympic medalists, 16 theatrical performances, 56 concerts with 23 artists, and about 30 art film screenings.

During the six months of the Italian Pavilion’s activities, an administrative office was set up in Expo Dubai and one in Rome to better coordinate resources, both on site and remotely, and enhance communication between stakeholders in Italy and Dubai. The Expo Dubai project team included about 30 office assistants with different roles, and every day for six months the organization managed a staff of more than 100 people.
