The 50th G7 Summit, held June 13-15, 2024 in Borgo Egnazia, Apulia, brought together 26 leaders of delegations from around the world. Climate change, Artificial Intelligence, and Sustainability were among the main topics at the heart of the agenda on which leaders discussed extensively.

During the three days there were numerous opportunities for business meetings, beyond the official agenda, with the creation of 8 bilaterals and the provision of equipped areas. In parallel, a rich program of cultural and artistic moments of leisure and entertainment was created, with visits to prominent sites and the performances of local artists.

The G7 2024 wanted to give a different connotation to the summit, focusing strongly on the human component, which is crucial for change, and on territoriality, with its products, history and culture. The chosen sites were carefully selected and set up to encourage meetings and dialogues on these topics. Half of the suppliers involved, moreover, are small and medium-sized local businesses that, at various times, excited and surprised the participants.

The choice of Apulia itself was not accidental, as it represents a bridge between West and East, a symbol of tradition and strength, but also of openness and collaboration. Borgo Egnazia fostered immersion in the atmosphere of Puglia while ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all present.

The entire G7 was accomplished in 6 months through the efforts of a team of 32 professionals with a staff of more than 150 people active during the 3-day Summit. The event hosted the 7 heads of state of the G7 countries, 2 EU representative presidents, 12 Outreach countries, 5 World Organizations for a total of 26 delegations and 253 delegates joined exceptionally and for the first time, Pope Francis.

The Media Centre was set up inside the new Fiera del Levante in Bari. 19,000sq.m. set up in just under 2 weeks to host over 1,000 media representatives and 60 broadcasters from around the world who guaranteed 24-hour broadcasts for 6 days. Inside the Media Centre there were also 15 exhibition areas and 44 sponsors for a total of more than 2,000 Made in Italy products on display.
