The 127th National Cardiology Congress (SIC) was held in Bari at the Nicolaus Hotel from 5 to 8 October 2025, confirming its status as one of the most important events for the national and international surgical community. Around 3,000 participants, including doctors and healthcare professionals, took part in the congress proceedings in the 15 rooms of the Nicolaus Hotel, marking an unprecedented success for what has been described as the surgical event of the year.

One of the most significant moments was the honorary degree awarded to Carlo Verdone, reflecting the link between culture, humanity and science.

For the Società Italiana di Chirurgia (SIC – Italian Society of Surgery) :
