SIC ROME 2024

The 126th Congress of the Italian Society of Surgery (SIC) was held Oct. 13-16, 2024 at the Ergife Palace Hotel. The focus of the event was “The Future of the Surgeon-The Surgeon of the Future,” a topic of great interest in the field and on which the more than 1,500 participants within the 14 concurrently active halls extensively debated.

The extensive program included 400 hours of papers, readings, videos and communications articulated through numerous exhibition modalities for more than 1,000 contributions on the most advanced and modern surgical techniques. The Congress concluded with two very significant moments: the private audience with Pope Francis and the concluding reading by Justice Minister Carlo Nordio.
